Watercolor Painting: A Bowl : Watercolor Bowl Wet in Wet Technique

Now, if the water is clean we're going todo a wet and wet.

The way you do that is you put a little water on the brush, squeegeeit out and then we're going to do the side of the bowl.

It's ok if it has a little colorin it.

We're going to leave the rim white.

So basically I'm putting in a light gray orjust plain water will work, and then I'm going to add color directly into to make the bowlsort of a mottled look.

That is mottled.

So this is going to give us some soft edges, but it doesn't quite right so we're going to bring some more water to it and make the mottling even softer, and adda little more color when it's even wetter.

This will make it more interesting.

Rememberto define the rim, because it's going to be white, using a professional smooth roundededge and just sort of dab the color around like so and that will get it.
